About:

Beringea-backed SaaS company Social Value Portal aims to promote better business and community wellbeing through the integration of social value into day-to-day business. Their online Portal solution allows organisations to measure and manage the contribution that their organisation and supply chain makes to society through reporting both non-financial and financial data, among other factors.

Requirement:

Social Value Portal needed a CRO who would be responsible for the ownership of their sales and marketing function. They were looking for a dynamic and ambitious sales leader who could drive the business to meet their ambitious revenue growth targets. The ideal candidate needed to be commercially savvy with a deep understanding of their target audience, have a successful track record, and additionally have European market experience.

Solution:

Working closely with Social Value Portal’s CEO, we ran a structured process identifying candidates in the UK. We focused on identifying candidates from the immediate sector (ESG/social value) as well as candidates from the broader enterprise SaaS space. Cultural fit was a key part of the role, with the company having an emphasis on coaching and mentoring. We were looking for someone structured, entrepreneurial, and driven, with a strong ability to build trust and relationships.

Result: 

We successfully placed an ideal candidate – a team builder who had strong public sector sales experience in the construction industry and a background in mid-market and enterprise sales leadership from Vodafone, Orange and Truphone.
