2 minutes (250 Words)

About:

Sector Alarm is one of Europe’s leading safety providers, with over 25 years’ experience in delivering superior alarm solutions to homeowners and businesses across Europe. They are backed by KKR.

Requirement:

With most of its technology outsourced, Sector Alarm needed a step-change in terms of its product strategy and delivery. The company was looking for a dynamic and personable product director who would take ownership of the future product roadmap, from market research through to definition, build, and go-to market strategy. Both commercially savvy and technologically skilled, the ideal candidate would need to have experience in bringing together a number of service providers to create a suit of sector-branded products and services delivered through an app. They would also be required to have wider experience across hardware, software and firmware.

Solution:

Working closely with both KKR and Sector Alarm’s management team, we ran a structured process identifying candidates in Spain, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, and as far as Iran and the US. With cultural fit being such a key part of the role, we presented a strong shortlist, with seven candidates being taken to second-stage interviews with the client. Despite the challenges arising from COVID, the process remained smooth, with a mix of Zoom and in-person interviews as soon as border control allowed.

Result:

We placed a candidate who had strong product experience from Dunnhumby, Here Technologies and Nokia. They relocated from Germany to Norway for the role.
