La Fosse Executive place CTO Spencer Clarkson into Verastar to lead ambitious digital transformation project

La Fosse Executive is delighted to announce the permanent appointment of seasoned technologist Spencer Clarkson into leading business services provider Verastar. Clarkson is highly experienced in applying technology solutions to drive real business improvements and has overseen various transformative IT projects within organisations both in the UK and across Europe throughout his 30-year career.

La Fosse Executive was engaged on a key assignment to place a CTO into Verastar to see them through a crucial transformation period. The company – part of the Vitruvian portfolio – wanted to create a new role tasked with delivering a single unified customer relationship management system across all brands within the group, in conjunction with Salesforce, Natterbox and SnapLogic. The individual would also be tasked with optimising the group’s existing technology platforms.

This was La Fosse Executive’s first engagement with Verastar, and due to having extensive experience in placing portfolio CTOs for mid-cap PE houses, the CTO Search team were confident in their ability to fill the role. The team performed a localised search across the North-West to identify the best candidates who connected with this market mission, keeping the bar very high by only shortlisting people who had previously led technology functions within a PE-backed environment and had evidenced success in delivering on a change programme at group level.
