La Fosse Executive place CMO Simon Vella into Ascot Lloyd

Simon Vella stepped into the Chief Marketing Officer role at Ascot Lloyd last month after the executive and leadership search specialists were tasked with sourcing a CMO to lead the company’s digital transformation within the marketing function.

With large-scale transformation plans across the whole business, the company sought a marketing talent that would lead successfully in a climate of digital disruption within the Wealth Management sector.

Addressing the brief, the La Fosse team compiled a tailored job description to share with selected candidates before conducting a series of screening calls and internal interviews, and presenting the shortlist. Alongside this, they used their in-depth knowledge and current market data to support with strategic remuneration benchmarking – ensuring the most suitable remuneration package for the position.

With 25 years’ experience across a diversity of financial industry businesses, and moving directly from his Profile Pensions CMO position, Simon proved an excellent fit. As well as taking the lead on digital transformation projects at Ascot Lloyd, he will also be developing the branding, and internal and external communications to optimise lead generation and client retention. His remit also includes the development of the company’s ‘on-demand’ telephone-based advice service.
