About:

Global Processing Services (GPS) is an industry-leading payment processing solutions for the payment and fintech sectors. Built entirely by its own payments experts, the GPS Apex platform offers easy integration with card issuers, programme managers, card manufacturers and many other service providers. GPS is backed by Dunedin.

Requirement:

With the business rapidly scaling, the CEO needed a COO to focus on driving a cohesion across the various business functions, enabling them to focus on investment/capital raises, broader business strategy, and driving greater market awareness.

Solution:

La Fosse were selected for the search, with the goal of delivering a shortlist that offered significant diversity choices, whilst still ensuring that the key criteria of innovation, ownership/accountability and reliability were being met, as well as the ability to strike the right balance between being collegiate and politely coercive.

Result:

The successful candidate was one of two potential candidates who scored 88% in our assessment. Whilst the panel eventually favoured their profile, the board and executives were eager to inform the other candidate that they had huge potential and were nearly as strong; so much so that they would have gladly hired them in the successful candidate’s absence. The new COO joined within 6 weeks of resigning.
