About:

Chambers and Partners is an Inflexion-backed business that identifies and ranks the most outstanding law firms and lawyers in over 180 jurisdictions throughout the world.

Requirement:

Over the course of two years, Chambers and Partners has undergone a considerable transformation program to professionalise, digitise, and accelerate growth. By utilising the rich data that it has gathered over the past 30 years, the company is developing digital subscription-based products to an even wider audience. To help make this transformation possible, we worked with the company’s new CEO to build a dynamic, ambitious senior team across technology, product and sales.

Solution:

Working closely with Inflexion, as well as Chambers and Partner’s CEO and new HRD, we ran a structured process, identifying UK candidates from the immediate sector (marketing intelligence), the broader enterprise B2B subscription space, and beyond. For the CTO role, we also looked at the media sector, where a lot of players had undergone a similar digital transformation to create multi-media content platforms in recent years. Cultural fit was a key part of the role requirement, so we focused on candidates who were structured and driven, with a strong ability to communicate with various stakeholders, including investors.

Result:

We successfully placed a CTO who had experience of delivering world-class products, advanced platforms and business/technology change programmes at News UK, and a CPO who had built the product function at Qubit (a VC-backed, B2B employee engagement SaaS platform). Assisted by our wider team at La Fosse Associates, we also placed three senior sales roles into the business.
